Yo, reader. What’s the word this bright near-April morn?  Gonna be sunny and warm in the Pitt for the rest of the week.  Woo!  The vast majority of my walking gear has now arrived.  Too much gear to account for in this space, but it still manages to weigh in at just under 25 pounds.  If I can find some time soon, I’m planning on laying everything out on the floor and taking a picture.  Then I’ll post it up here on the site so your mind can be thusly blown.

Walk-training goes well.  I’m nearly finished with my P90X rotation.  Haven’t yet had a chance to start panhandling for donations, but I hope to hit that hard next week.  I haven’t even come close to finishing the second site, either.  For now, I’ve got to stay the course on the many things I need to accomplish between now and 15 days from now (15 days, reader!).  I’m afraid that means continued lameness on the blog and yet another delay on the latest chapter (I’m really close, I promise; I just need to find some time somewhere to polish it up).

So if I don’t manage to get back on the blogging and writing horse before next week — or even before I start walking — let me just renew my promise to use this website to its fullest potential from the road.  I know it’s been boring around here at What We’ve Got for a while now. But that will all soon change, and it will change dramatically. Daily updates will return, as I’ll have more interesting things to discuss on a daily basis. I intend to write 1,000 words per day for my own project, and plan to post at least 1,000 words per week on this here site.  I’ve got a number of other interesting ideas kicking around, as well — a page dedicated solely to pictures of funny/ridiculous/harrowing roadsigns I see along the way, for instance.  Story is, starting April 14th, I hope we’ll be proper rejuvenated around here.  Proper.

Okay. I’m gonna head out and see if it’s possible to walk six miles, get some work done on a book proposal, purchase a netbook, and entertain my visiting younger brother, Sam, at the same time.  Wish me luck.  Meantime, I leave you with something that’s been eating at me all morning: Is it me, or does this comedy song and this comedy song (warning: NSFW) sound startlingly similar musically?  I mean, I know they’ve been around for a year or two, but has anybody else noticed this?
