Mornin’, reader.  How was the weekend?  Mine was full of Black Velvet (the liquor, not the cloth) — enough Black Velvet that I think I’m officially going to swear off whiskey.  Goodbye, whiskey.  We had a nice run.

Anyway, I’m not here to blog about that.  This morning, I’m here to blog about the reason I’ve gone radio silent over the past few days.  I’m working on a second (web)site.  A second? you might say. Dude can’t even keep up with his obligations to the first.  Good point, reader.  I’m already biting off more than I can chew.  But this new website seems a necessary step.  Its purpose: to raise awareness of the Children’s Defense Fund and my walk.  Essentially, I’m building it so I can highlight why the CDF is such a remarkable charity, and also so I can better streamline my Pledge! and  fundraising efforts.  This site won’t be quite as involved as the blog you’re currently reading, but I do hope to make it plenty engaging.

Be sure to check back here over the course of the week, reader, as I’ll be offering updates on how that’s going.  If all goes well, I could be up and running with Site #2 as early as tomorrow.  I’ve also got some walk-related stuff to toss at you this week.  Either way, I’ll be back with you soon.
