Congrats on the total raised for CDF Kyle. Well done. Now, see if Jeanette will kick in another buck for the sign I saw in Clearwater today on my way to Augusta. It was in front of the local ice cream parlor / sandwich shop, the Lick-it-y Split. You know, the one with the blow up 2 story slide they bring up from the ashes every weekend. Well, seems the slide isn’t drawing the crowds they hoped for so this weekend you can drop in saturday night for “Gospel Karaoke”. There are 2 words that should never live in the same sentence, let alone next to each other, but there they were for the world driving by to see. Joe says he will go anywhere that ends with ice cream but I’m opting out. Pretty sure I might be lynched then sent straight to hell when I broke out the church giggles that I KNOW I would have in that setting. That sign was most definitely laugh worthy, don’t ya think Jeanette?

The Cubs won 2 out of 3. Maybe it’s because I have to be overly optimistic as a Cubs fan in order to live on, but I think this is the beginning of a major turn around for the Cubs!

Just for the academic record, the second of three most used words by Americas young is the F-bomb! “Like, f*^k man….” Makes me crazy to live in a two word society! And I am thankful daily that I no longer read admission essays for any university, anywhere!! On a lighter note, hope the game was fabulous.

It’s hard to keep up with greatness when the star pitcher is suspended by the team for erratic behavior and the coach announces his retirement midway through the season. All in all, 10.5 games back could be worse, and most likely will be.

So, the closest near-death experience involves a snake that may or may not have been poisonous that slithered away, after being in no way aggressive? I don’t know, I guess I was expecting something more like you outrunning a crazy Georgian with a shot gun or you having to appear tall without arms outstretched to scare away a bear in West Virginia.
