Well, reader, you’ve come this far. You stood by me for an extra eight days after I forgot to post my weekly chapter. Sorry about that. As Jeanette would readily tell you, I’m forgetful sometimes. Then, by the time I remembered, it was Monday and I was beginning one of those rare week-long bouts with serious writer’s block. There’s a passage missing from this Chapter 4. A critical passage that I held off on until I was a bit more inspired. I wanted to write it before posting this chapter, but alas, it didn’t happen this week. So what you’re getting is a version of Chapter 4 that’s missing some critical character development and is also a little week on the suspense.
